With a Blackened Heart: New Kian Dray Pulls Stylistic Influence from Jon Hadley and it’s Epic

Kian Dray:
With a Blackened Heart

Certified Abrasive, certified Hadley

Kian Drays latest song With a Blackened Heart takes very well done stylistic influences from Jon Hadley’s The Things We Choose to Lose, featuring layered melody on top of a driving rhythm guitar wrapped in high flying harmonics, secondary melodies formed by delays as they die, powerful tonal shifts and one of Jon’s favorite parts… An outro formed entirely from FX being allowed to decay to a stop. The composition is truly masterful.

A second version may also drop with a Hadley vocal, but we’ll keep you guessing on that one.
