What’s up indie music enthusiasts! 2024 was a crazy year in our little corner of the internet. We’ve listened to so much music, and talked to so many artists, but In 2025 we’re tasking Chat Army with something different! We want YOU to be the content more than ever! That’s why we’re introducing our monthly songwriting challenge!

How It Works:

Songwriting Prompts: Every month, we provide three unique prompts to inspire you to write (We will introduce the categories on Indie Boom Shockwave, AbrasiveMonologues.com, discord and social media). Submission: Write your song based on one of our prompts and submit it to us on the discord before Indie Boom Shockwave February 18th. at 9pm EST.

Showcase: All entries will be played on a special episode of Indie Boom Shockwave (Feb 18th), where we’ll share your music with the world.

Voting: After the show, everyone will get to vote for their favorite song from each month’s submissions (This will be done with a simple google form).

Prize: The winner will receive an exclusive Indie Boom Shockwave T-shirt, designed by the one and only James Allan Stellar

January Prompts:

1. New Beginnings – Theme: Capture the essence of starting fresh, resolutions, and new hopes. Whether it’s a new year, a new chapter in life, or just a new day, let your song embody the spirit of renewal.
2. Solitude’s Symphony – Theme: This prompt is all about introspection and quiet reflection during the cold winter months. Dive deep into the melody of solitude, where silence speaks volumes.
3. Resilience – Theme: Focus on overcoming hardships, surviving the winter, and emerging stronger. Your song should be an anthem of endurance, showcasing how we rise from our challenges.
