A New Adventure

Mario Marino is bringing something new to the scene with his half musical, half graphic novel space saga tentatively titled Beyond the Heliosphere. This musical project combines music, storytelling, and visual multi-media together for a fully immersive experience, making for some of the most ambitious visual work the Abrasive Monologues team has ever undertaken. Like most space themed things, the music is intended to be hopeful and dramatic, with an underlying grit that provides a counter balanced sense of doom.

Finding the Counter Balance

To add the underlying grit and create the sense of doom that every space saga requires. Mario has enlisted the help of Abrasive Monologues’ Jonathan Hadley. Hadley’s high gain antics add the grit and suspenseful tone the saga begs for through gritty lows and wide soaring high gain harmonics. Together the duo is creating tonality worth of a sci-fi movie score.

The First Entry in the Captain’s Log

The first part of the series in the title track, Beyond the Heliosphere, which Mario and Hadley put together a test video for that turned out really well. You can check the song out below.
