Watchtowers debuted on Bandcamp on September 20th, 2024 and was incredibly well received during the initial listening party.
Watchtowers is Jon Hadley’s third EP, and Mario Marino once again joins in on not only the musical performance, but the production of the record as well.
Watchtowers is allusion to the calling of the quarters in the faith of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and modern Gardnerian Wicca. Each track is named after a form of divination except for the final track, Bind which rounds out the EP.
Each song is a part of me as a person and as an artist. Each song captures an emotion, a memory, a love, a loss.
Watchtowers was written and recorded over a four day period in September of 2024.
Watchtowers is largely instrumental, save for a single lyrical passage during the bridge in Bind. The first song from the EP Ouija [Watchtowers Mix], was featured on the Indie Boom Shockwave Twitch stream on September 25th. You can view that episode here.
